CSV Bridge
CSV Bridge is a professional CSV import tool for Excel that ensures your data imports exactly as intended — no more corrupted numbers, missing leading zeros, or unwanted scientific notation.
What is CSV Bridge?
CSV Bridge solves a long-standing frustration with Excel: when you open a CSV file directly in Excel, it silently "corrects" your data in ways that cause real problems. Product codes lose their leading zeros, large order numbers become scientific notation, and international number formats get misinterpreted.
CSV Bridge replaces this destructive default behavior with a smart, controlled import that respects your data.
- Free for personal, educational, and non-profit use
- Commercial license required for business use
- Available on the Windows Store
Key Features
Data Precision Preservation
Leading zeros, long numbers, and text values stay exactly as they appear in your CSV file. No more losing zip codes, product codes, or account numbers to Excel's auto-formatting.
Prevents Scientific Notation
Large numbers that Excel would normally convert to scientific notation (e.g. 1.23E+12) are imported as plain numbers or text, exactly as intended.
Intelligent Type Detection
CSV Bridge automatically determines the correct data type for each column — numbers stay numbers, text stays text, and dates are recognized correctly.
International Format Support
Works with both US-style (comma-separated, period decimals) and international CSV formats (semicolon-separated, comma decimals). No manual adjustment needed.
Smart Delimiter Detection
Automatically recognizes comma, semicolon, tab, and pipe delimiters so you don't have to configure anything manually.
Automatic Excel Table Creation
Every import creates a properly formatted Excel Table with sorting, filtering, and column headers — ready for immediate use.
Privacy-First
All processing happens locally on your device. Your files never leave your computer and are never sent to any server or cloud service.
