What is CSV Bridge?
CSV Bridge is a professional CSV import tool for Excel. It replaces Excel's default CSV handling with a smart import that preserves leading zeros, prevents scientific notation, detects column types automatically, and creates formatted Excel Tables on import.
Why not just open the CSV file directly in Excel?
When you open a CSV file directly in Excel, it silently applies automatic formatting that can corrupt your data — leading zeros are stripped from codes and zip codes, large numbers become scientific notation, and international decimal formats may be misread. CSV Bridge gives you a controlled, predictable import every time.
Is CSV Bridge free?
CSV Bridge is free for personal, educational, and non-profit use. A commercial license is required for business or commercial use. Contact support@just-software.com for commercial licensing.

What file formats does CSV Bridge support?
CSV Bridge supports any CSV file, including variations with: - Comma, semicolon, tab, or pipe delimiters - US-style decimal formats (period as decimal separator) - International decimal formats (comma as decimal separator) - Files with or without a header row
Does CSV Bridge handle large files?
Yes, CSV Bridge is designed to be lightweight and fast. Performance may vary depending on file size and available system resources.
Can I control how columns are imported?
Yes. After selecting your file, CSV Bridge shows you the detected column types before importing, giving you the opportunity to review and adjust before the data goes into Excel.
What happens to leading zeros?
Leading zeros are preserved. Product codes, zip codes, account numbers, and other fields that rely on leading zeros will import exactly as they appear in the CSV file.
Privacy & Security
Does CSV Bridge send my data anywhere?
No. All processing happens locally on your device. Your files are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with any server or cloud service.
Does CSV Bridge require an internet connection?
No. CSV Bridge works entirely offline. An internet connection is only needed to download and install the application from the Windows Store.
