Initial Setup

Step 1: Connect Your Azure Subscription

After signing up, you'll need to connect your Azure subscription to Sched4Cloud. The platform uses secure authentication to access your Azure resources.

Step 2: Discover Resources

Sched4Cloud will automatically discover the resources in your Azure subscription that can be optimized: - Virtual Machines (VMs) - SQL Databases - API Services

Step 3: Create Your First Schedule

Start by creating schedules for resources that have predictable usage patterns: - Development/Test VMs that don't need to run 24/7 - Non-production databases that can be scaled down during off-hours - API services with clear peak and off-peak periods

Step 4: Monitor Savings

Use the real-time dashboard to monitor your cost savings and resource utilization. The analytics will show you exactly how much you're saving through automated scheduling.

Best Practices

Start Small

Begin with non-critical resources like development and test environments before expanding to production resources.

Review Usage Patterns

Analyze your resource usage patterns before creating schedules to ensure optimal cost savings without impacting availability.

Monitor Performance

Keep an eye on the performance metrics to ensure that scheduling doesn't negatively impact your applications.

Iterate and Optimize

Continuously refine your schedules based on actual usage patterns and business requirements.

Next Steps

Once you're comfortable with the basics: - Expand scheduling to more resources - Create custom schedules for different environments - Set up notifications for schedule events - Review detailed analytics to identify additional optimization opportunities
